Ha...My kid earned her first real $$ today...First day of work as a plate runner/coffee filler/drink pourer at a local breakfast spot. Got home exhausted...."The coffee was awesome...The food smelled so good..." and she made $17 in tips

 

Just pulled one my favorite credit card moves...Rented my cars for my August trip on the first day of the next statement so I won't be paying for that until September...Thanks for the interest free loan mr credit card.

 

For the last 8 years both my Discover card and my Chase Big A rewards card have paid me cash back. In that time I've paid zero interest. They hate people like us. lol

 

They’re still making plenty via the merchant fees.

I have a Citi card with 2% cash back that I use for most stuff. No annual fee and I have no idea what the interest rate is ‘cuz it’s always paid in full. If I can’t afford to pay something off immediately I save up until I can.

I've paid interest ONCE in my life on a goddamn best buy card with 6 months interest free in like 1998. I bought a compaq presario 5670 with an MV900 monitor. It was like $3000 all together and I was paying the $200 minimum each month and then I put the final check in the mail and my dad HANDED the mailman the mail as he met him at the mailbox for like 2 weeks and THEN noticed my check wasn't picked up. It arrived like 3 days late and I owed like $400 in back interest...my dad said "Well put the flag up if there's mail to pick up..."

I have the citi double cash where you get 1% back on purchases and 1% back on payments so essentially 2% on every dollar spent. I pay my balance every month so I’ve never paid interest. I’ve cashed out my points twice to buy furniture lol. Got a sweet sofa & chaise in my office courtesy of Citi

Only thing I’ve ever paid interest on is my car loans. I get the 0% cards and make sure they’re zeroed out by the time the introductory apr rate is up. We have 0 credit card debt and have an 825 credit score. Life feels way better when you’re not in debt.

 

I’m around 821 but follow the same practice

though the last 6 months have not been kind

 

The credit card companies hate us since they aren’t making anything off of us haha

We pulled an 839 when we were looking refi...It's apparently the highest you can score. Anything you do to try to increase it closer to 850 is more likely to lower it...
