This is Lisa at around 1 year old. She's been gone for a month now. She passed away at 16. My little girl. A very friendly, outgoing kitty. I do know what you're going through, Frank. I had to put her sister Lila to sleep a couple of years ago. Another sweet kitty.

Thank you. I wanted him in his pet carrier when they did it because he felt protected in there when he was in a vet environment. Me and Rosie both comforted him with loving hands as he went. It'll take a long time to get out of our heads seeing his little head drop. But there was no other way to end his suffering. That cancer was beating him up and he didn't deserve it.

I'm sorry Rob:( this just happened to you too. I trust your babies and Dompy are together now jumping around like monkeys up there. That's a nice thing to hope for. Lisa was your little girl, Dompy was my baby-boy and Lila, I wanna squeeze that little face!

You did the right thing. Hard to feel right about it, but the right thing.

Thank you Frank. Lisa & Lila adopted me. They wouldn't leave me alone, so I took them home. :) Putting your pet to sleep is one of the hardest things to do in life. Last thing you want to do is see them suffer or in distress.

Not even for a minute Rob, and he suffered too long as it is. You know they say cats especially, are too good at hiding pain. I guess this is one of their defense mechanisms when out in the wild. But I saw through that many times with him especially knowing he had such fluid buildup in his abdomen as his body reacted to the nodules. We had the vet drain it already and it came back within three weeks. That little guy was a fighter. I saw him try every day to punch through his pain and malaise-probably to reassure us he was ok. God Bless you little boy. You tried so hard. Until you just couldn't anymore. I got that and I hope you know I just wanted to get you relief.

You're so right Frank. Felines hide their ailments so well, it's hard to know what is going on until it's too late.
