Sorry might be another repeat thread . I’m having random starting issues . Truck at random times will stall out or won’t start at all won’t crank nada .
    It has 13k miles and is a 6 sod manual v6 .
No check engine lights on .
Had autozone check the battery all good .
After it does not start it will start with no issues for days and then do the same thing .
I have appointment with the dealer next week . But if it doesn’t do it with them or give them any codes I’m worried they won’t do shit about it .
Anyone have any idea what the problem could be or where to start .
The only mod I have is a tailgate lightbar that is plugged into the towing connector . Thanks guys and gals .

"does not start" could be a lot of things.

    Does it crank over?
    Do you have spark?
    Do you have fuel?
Does it sound like it is trying to fire?

I think I read somewhere something about the system not thinking the clutch is fully engaged ?
I think ( therefore I could be wrong ) that newer manuals ( like my 2012 jeep ) required the clutch to be fully depressed...
If true and something gets in the way of that connection then that could be the issue.

But I'm a noob - just throwing it out there.

It will crank and then stall out like it’s not getting enough fuel or the battery is not putting out enough amperage to crank the starter over . Or at times it will do nothing all . Just lights will come on like normal go to crank no click nothing .one thing I have noticed at times I can here the fuel pump others times not but it will still start .

For diagnosis on the Tacoma if you suspect an issue you could press the Clutch Start Cancel Switch and it would take the pedal out of the equation.

Try a new battery first. Then the clutch switch if that don’t work. The batteries in these trucks don’t like to be at a lower voltage. Will play hell and can last a few weeks before battery just dies.
