Before I crawl under to see how they come out is it as easy to remove them as the 2nd Gen? Going to put Hella Colorshieldz on them

Following. I’m pretty sure it’s similar. I’m looking to change out my fogs soon as well.

Super easy. Reach down from the top, unplug, and there is 1 Phillips head screw holding each one in.

Yeah that,s how I got to mine. You can also unpin part of the fender liner and get to it that way pretty easy, but it was pretty easy reaching down from under the hood unless you have T-Rex arms maybe.:D

or pull back on the wheel well liner. If you're tires are bigger than stock then that won't be an easy option.

Got the lights installed. Tried to install them from the top, arms were not long enough. Plus I could not see what I was during when my hands were in there. Ended up moving the fender liner enough to get my hand in there. That made it easy. Had room to work and could see what I was doing. Had the old light out and the new one in and buttoned up in about 5 minutes. Took longer to put the liner back in place.

You can also remove the grille to make it very easy. Couple 10mm screws and two pop pins. You can pull the TSS sensor cables off completely and put the grille aside or just set the grille up on the engine bay with TSS sensor still intact.

I tried. I couldn’t get my stubby, meat hooks down far enough until I removed the grille.

Found it easier to go through the wheel well than removing the grille. With sensor, front camera, raptor lights, did not want to mess with all the wires. I have removed the grille before so I know what is involved. Not removing the grille this just eliminated me scratching it or some other damage.
