    97 Tacoma 2wd base cab
    Exhaust headers back, air intake, stage 3 clutch, port polished heads and intake, all new timing, water,oil, pump and all sensors, new rear end
    I have #1and #3 ,misfiring. I have changed crnck sensor, coil, cap,rotor, injectors, plugs,idel air control valve, tps, no cam sensor,, what next , ecm or a complete motor ,,, it runs at idel like s#$t white smoke, hi ram it's good , but idel like crap ,
    Input needed, I'm stumped sorry 2.4 2rz dizzy no coil packs

    Wheels, tires, intermittent wipers, better rearview mirror...
    When you have an old motor like this that runs well with RPM, as you say... Like maybe this is an older truck that has been sitting. I find a good technique is to take it out of the barn, change the oil. Then take a long drive at fairly high speed, with the motor humming along for an hour or so.

    That is going to blast all the crud out. Then change the oil again, while it is still hot.
