Still on temps after purchasing a new tacoma back in middle April...

The dealership (which was out-of-state in MN) provided the first year registration service during purchasing so as to avoid a DMV trip. I was really stoked about that, but I didn't realize the implications of it.

Specifically, I didn't realize that given that it's outside of my control, I might be waiting way longer than I should be for my plates and tags.

I've had the dealership send me another month of temps but they expired end of June. DMV says I could come in and get temps through them, but that will entail an 1+ hour wait that I'm refusing to do right now. I guess I could also call the dealership again to get another month.

Does anyone have any experience with getting registration through the dealership and how long it took for you? CO would be ideal, but I'm also curious on if there's anything I can do at this point without wasting my time rotting at the DMV.

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
The disadvantage of having an out-of-state dealer handling your registration I guess.
If it were me, I'd lean on the dealer. No doubt they charged you for this service, so now they have to come through or refund the cost.
Should that not work out, I'd bit the bullet and find a comfortable seat the the DMV.
Since I'm not familiar with CO's process for your permanent registration, I can't offer any more advice that this.
In CT most car dealers have a direct connection (via internet) to CT's DMV.
