I like the apparent dimensions, but it kills me that it's a full cab with such a useless short bed rather than an access cab (or, better yet, a no-rear-door extended cab) with a longer bed.

If only new rav4 had a truck bed. Im gona keep an open mind...seeing lots of cool features from pics and if price point can stay 20-27k seem like it could sell. Tacomas gotten pretty steep from 2nd to 3rd gen plus you get smaller engine. But you have the manly men that would never consider these. Target different market those dont want full size truck w bed but do want that small bed space for certain occasions.

I can’t decide if that truck looks more like a wedding cake or a New Orleans Funeral Hearse….

All blacked vehicles = "murdered out". Whats the term for all white out?

With more manufacturers abandoning cars to build SUVs and Crossovers, I think this will start a new market trend.

The Subaru Baja was just ahead of its time IMO.

If this sells well you can bet the Baja will be back.

This will be a great vehicle for the DIY store runs and such, and such a small vehicle with 275HP and 311TQ will likely be in the high 5-low 6 second 0-60 times. Plenty of zoom for around town driving. And a standard 10 year/100k powertrain warranty is nice.

I also saw somewhere that it has a 20ft curb to curb turning circle which means it will be a boon to driving in the city (I used to have a Frontier that had a turning radius like a Nimitz aircraft carrier. 3 and 4 point turns were the norm. It SUCKED driving in the city)

    Watching this one with interest.

I don't think I saw this posted yet:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4D-fKzm_T_w

A part of me wants this as my next vehicle.

When I first started shopping for trucks the Baja was on and off my list but I never actually went out to look at one. Several years later I got a good look at a bed of a Baja and am glad that I didn't go that route.

Having a longer truck does kind of make me consider where I go or am willing to go. So I think a smaller vehicle like this would make me more willing to drive where ever without thinking about it like I used to.

I don't know about this four foot bed though. It looks like the Baja had a 3.5 foot bed. So this is slightly larger.

But my previous five foot bed barely worked at times and don't know if I'd want to go smaller than that. If you put the tailgate down, it makes it harder to use the hitch too. So loses even more functionality.

I actually was waiting for the Abat for a while, lol...
