I was able to sell my bike 3 years & ~5000 miles later for $1.5k more than I purchased it.

Blessing and a curse, though. As I'm now holding out until I buy my next bike :pout:

Yep. Stuffed a bunch of relays and connectors behind it in the headlight bucket (not a n original idea - they do some of that from the factory) and it was really difficult to get the light in. Finally did but it only lasted about 8 miles. I had a tool roll but it was giving me too much trouble so I disconnected it and stuffed it in my shirt for the ride home.

Just ordered a MOONSMC Fly Eye V1 though which is super thin, and I mean like…crazy thin. I don’t want to go through rerouting the wires again.

catching up on this thread. zero time on TW these days. My Truck goes days without rolling which is a good thing.

400 miler a week ago was a banner day in Southern Indiana. For those that don't know, the roads resemble Kentucky in that part of the state. Hit the ton on the straights a time or two and scraped..er...boards often. Great day....until I got some terrible vibes. performed fine, just something wrong....

carrier bearing that anchors the u joint (shaft drive bike)

Being down in July is unacceptable, and I only have a single bike, so I had two problems to address.

    While this is happening,

I got a backup. 42 years young. Had to drive the truck.

Flawless old runner. I know, not the cup o' tea of most of you guys, but there's something about opening the choke and the petcocks (Twin dellorto carbs), and sailing along on an old bike. Carves like you wouldn't imagine and pulls like a freight train.

Edit to add... to give you an idea what lies underneath...this cafe is built from the same bike as you see above. Same exact frame/tank/engine/carbs/transmission/shaft/final drive. The cast wheels on the cafe became stock on the model the year after mine was built. They're wolves in sheeps clothing. well....along those lines anyway.

aaaaand....i've only managed about 200 miles since, because it hasn't stopped raining. Parts arrive tomorrow for the other...so that's where the time will go. Gonna have freeze bearings, torch the swingarm, then paint the whole thing prior to reassembly. outta be good for another 60k though.

Very cool bikes, don't see a lot of Moto Guzzis rolling around.

Got to borrow a Guzzi Lemans 1100 for a weekend one time that was traded in at the dealership I worked at. Interesting bike, lots of character.

    None... yet.
Before I started going, I was not particularly enthused. 7 visits later and I'm so glad I did it! Much more fun than riding on the street, especially on a 600+ cc sport bike. You really gain an understanding of how much potential it has and can do so in a relatively safe environment with coaches who can give you feedback.

    Worth every dollar imho...

You should check out Revival Cycles in TX. They build some really cool stuff out of those Guzzis. They also have a pretty slick upgrade to the charging system which is known to be finicky.

Specs are impressive. Looks too plastic at first but I’m sure they’ll have a dozen trims and styles and models in the lineup. I’m sure some of them will look amazing.

HD still isn’t a horse I’d bet on, I’d call this phenomenal bandaging instead of a bandaid (for now), but at the end of the day it’ll be the ride that matters and it’s the first bike from HD I’ve thought, man, that probably rides nice, I’d like to try it out, rather than wow that’s a nice looking bike that probably rides like a brick ha.

The most joy it gives me is now that HD is innovating again every other (especially American) bike company will have to kick it up ten notches this upcoming year or three.
