So with some great feedback from this forum I upgraded from my 2014 SR5 to a 2021 cement trd off-road. Really happy so far and ready to add 33” tires and a lift.
I really love the way the off-road handles for my daily driving, so much better then my SR5. So I guess I’m looking for a similarly soft ride when I upgrade suspension.
I have very bad roads where I live, cobblestone, potholes, etc. so the current off-road really soaks them up and doesn’t bounce all over them like my previous ride.
Any recommendations for a 3/2 lift that will give me a similar ride quality? I don’t do much off-road a few times a year, and some beach driving here in Florida.

I’ve been looking heavily into Dobinsons, OME, and Bilsteins but I’d love some feedback from others on what setups have worked! Not looking for Fox or anything too crazy. Just a nice stance, fit 33s, and give me a ride that absorbs the roads and terrain well.
    Thank you!!!

What's your budget? Remember to factor in install costs as well (unless you're doing the install yourself). I personally hated the stock OR suspension, the brake dive and body roll in corners made the driving experience pretty annoying for me. I enjoy my Eibach kit. It's much firmer than stock, so you may not like it.

Also a lift won't necessarily help fit 33s without a CMC unless you go 255/85/16.

I have Dobinsons leafs, springs, and shocks and I bang down the road like a hay wagon. Keep it stock if you want a comfy ride.

Same - first thing I noticed after I got the Eibach kit installed was how much firmer the ride was over the stock OR suspension (which I wanted as I disliked stock OR suspension too).

The list is long but distinguished
My '19 OR has Bilstein 6112/5160 and Icon RTX leaf's. With the 6112 at full preload (slot 6) on stock Bili coils and the RTX configured at stage 1, I got the most comfortable ride and the truck is pretty level. I run 32" tires (235/85 r16) tires but a 33" will fit depending on your tire/wheel combo. Using stock UCA's since the front lift is <2" .

I do a fair amount of dirtroad/trail/forest service road driving and while the ride quality is excellent, with a full load of camping gear and the added weight of armor/bumpers/winch I needed a bit more spring. It was pretty easy to configure the RTX to stage 2 (comes with the needed leaf) and swap out the front coils to 650#. That gave me the carrying capacity I needed and the unladen ride quality remained quite good.

IMHO, I feel the cost was appropriate for the configurability and ride quality that the solution provided. I am ~$2000-$2200 in the the lift. I have recently added Icon UCA's and hydro bumps, but neither of those would be needed for a daily driver that does not see a lot of off road action.

You could do blocks the rear with longer bilsteins 5150 and do spacer in the front and still give you pretty much the same ride as stock. Front end is a little stiffer this way, fixes the bad brake dive you get with the OR oem shocks. And can still stuff 285s on it and not rub. You’ll need new rims or wheel spacers regardless. You need at least a 0 offset to keep tire off UCA.

You don’t need an off road suspension for cobblestones and potholes found on the road. If you are happy with the stock OR bilstein shocks, stick with them. Also adding 33” tires generally means higher load rating LT tires which will definitely not improve your comfort. Cadillac’s do not come with off road suspensions and tires.

That said, I have owned a 2016 sr5 and a 2020 OR and I can’t tell any difference between the ride quality on the road, so maybe I’m just not sensitive to it. I’m talking about when the OR was stock. Now that it has 33” e-load mud terrains and king shocks, it rides like a dump truck on the road. It’s silky off road with the tires aired down though. It’s also way more comfortable on and off the road than my buddy’s Jeep Wrangler on 35’s and fox shocks.

thanks.. I don't see these on sale or discounted anywhere so the 10% off first order from wheelers looks pretty good.

I have a set 6112/5160 in the Phoenix area for sale. They have about 3k miles on them. 6112 set to 6/5 for taco lean. Nothing wrong with them I just decided to go with a more adjustable set.

Well there are a lot of sets that are more adjustable. Kings, fox, ADS, OME etc etc. I went with OME BP-51 because with those I can adjust preload, compression and rebound individually to really dial in what you want. On the bilstein 6112s, the only thing adjustable is the preload.
