    The tree can't be fixed.

    The truck.....I wouldn't bother.

BTW, the restaurant is not responsible for an "Act of God", ie storm. They were not negligent.

Sorry about your truck man, I've seen many of those trees blown over onto peoples vehicles over the years. I always try to avoid parking near them this time of year. The roots don't always go deep enough into the ground to stabilize those trees in high wind. That was a pretty good storm last night!

Comp claims don’t raise your premiums, unless I’m wrong and that’s different state by state

I had two weather related claims on my 2nd gen and both didn’t impact our premiums in AZ.

Welp, I just lost my palo verde tree in my front yard this evening to our wonderful monsoon. Split right down the middle from the wind. I'll see if I can get a picture in the morning. I just trimmed the damn thing too. Probably should have trimmed it a little more. :anonymous:

There is if you are willing to pay for it. I have the $100 deductible option on both my car and motorcycle policies for collision and comp.

Last nights storm here (Tucson west side) didn't do anything to my Palo Verde trees - instead, it laid low all of the tomato plants............ Arg!!! Had 1-1/4 inches of water in the saucer I use as a gauge. A lot more wind in this storm - supposed to be back tonight.

Ah that sucks.. Sorry. Double edged sword to seek out shade to hide from the blistering sun only to have the shade become a liability when a dust storm rolls through.

The only way you could get anything from the restaurant would be to prove they were negligent in the maintenance of the tree and that contributed to it falling...which probably won't happen.

Much easier to file through your comprehensive and be done with it!

Estimate came in a little under $1,000, should have it back by the end of the week!
