    Good morning everyone!

There's truth in those words - enough stink to choke a maggot. My father-in-law used to hand them close to the pool. Disgusting.

More rain here yesterday afternoon and evening. Ground is totally saturated at this point - worse than it was in the spring. Looks like we may have 2 days without rain and lots of heat so we might dry out just a bit.

    Stay safe!

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch People! Looks like we're stuck in the sea breeze shower routine for another week. Not that this doesn't happen ever, but it's usually a May June event. The High that's scorching the West normally is sitting over us, and it's not. At least I'm not having to water the yard AND mow it!
Ooh, love me a heart Dr. visit where they give me SIX months to the next one!

Good luck with the flies, Jude!

July 16 1983...my wife and I exchanged vows...38 years today!

I seriously don't know how lucky I am. How she puts up w/me I'll never know...:)

Her name is Mary Ellen but due to her oldest brother (1 yr 7 mths older) couldn't for some reason when he was very young couldn't exactly get the Mary Ellen correct....hence from about 1959 or 1960 she's been know as Mimi!

Mimi loves to cook and she is very good at it...the passion that she has for it is unbelievable!

Mimi is my ceo, coo, cfo...etc.

    So whatever Mimi says goes...

I'm a very lucky man and wouldn't change a thing.

Good Morning Folks. Another hot day here in SE PA. I go to see the surgeon for a one month check up on the knee. So far it's doing real good. Haven't used the walker in 3 weeks and have only used the cane when outside. I'll see what he says.

Congratulations to you and Mimi on your Anniversary Harry. I wish you both many more happy years. "Happiness is being Married to your BEST FRIEND" Enjoy the day.

Have a good day folks and be safe.

Good to hear the news that the knee is coming along just fine Ken, won't be long before it's good as new.

    Happy 38th anniversary Harry!

    My wife is doing better!

They got a vac-bak on her. Yep, portable shop vac thing that drains fluids while keeping negative pressure to help with healing. We are looking towards discharge, not ready to come home yet, but into a Physical Rehab which allows her to get the TPN and Antibiotics administered as well as blood draws to make sure all is good. Interm between hospital and home.

She's down to 98 pounds (45kg). 5'6" so way too light, So TPN (IV feeding) to keep nutrients up. It's a catch 22, when you have a blood infection you need antibiotics to keep it at bay, but TPN is adding fuel to bacterial infection. They normally focus on just fighting the infection. In her case, malnourished and dehydrated, so PICC lines and TPN and Antibiotic.

I know she is feeling better when she asked "so have you finished building the Pergola?" No dear, other things have been on my mind.

Take care everyone and be sure never to get a day go by to let those close to you know how much you love them.

Good news Tom! Glad to hear it. Besides, you couldn't work on the pergola with all this rain!

Hi Carl, Thanks for asking. Doc said I don't need to continue with therapy because of the range of motion I have and the way I am walking. I will continue doing exercises at home and get some muscles built back up . People at therapy aren't going to like it though .

Prayers and positive thoughts for your wife Tom. Hoping she comes through this okay. Stay positive and stay Strong.

My wife went to therapy once and found out what they were doing, and also that medicare and supplemental didn't pay for PT. So she said, "No way!", and she did her own PT at home for both knees. The docs said her results are as good as they've seen with PT, so I'm good with it. I gotta say though, she was focused and diligent about getting her knees working again.

Oh, and forty-three years last April. I'd do it again... and I wish I could.

Wow - can't believe that Medicare said no to PT. It's part and parcel of the process. I have two replacements, but now I wanna look it up! Kudos to her though!

Well, when the carb is leaking like a sieve, but I got the grill and pavers done, there is no way I'm not keeping this running somehow until that board turns white!

    20210716_135839.jpg

Which, I managed. And even got the deep side of the deck cleaned. Then kept going.... it took me 30 minutes of the thing sitting there to run it out of gas! And since I obviously didn't get that power washer put away right, new carb kit and gaskets on the way.
