TRD emblems, tinted windows, OEM running boards, AVS vent shades, RMAS upgrade, LED lights in front and rear, interior LED lighting upgrade, LED lighting in bed, touch control dash mount for LED lighting, auxillary 12v and USB jacks in bed, replace all speakers with Infinity, custom mod with Bose tweeters, TRD Pro illumination mod...
I have not tested a tablet yet but with the way my RAM mounting plate is designed it spreads the weight over a longer area and part of the side. My design only requires 5x mounting points though so install time is less than 30 min.

nice! i had one similar in my 2nd Gen, bolted to the seat mount. worked great! I even put one in my wife's Highlander and she loves it!:dancingbacon:
I didn't like the way it fit in the 3rd Gen, it was too far away i felt like to be safe looking at for navigation.

Did you get a chance to finish these yet? Can you make a single mount for the left side vs the whole bracket?

I’ve run Panavise mounts on 4 other vehicles and haven’t had any issues with the mounts themselves. The phone holder itself, with daily use over time will wear and need replacement parts or just the entire unit.

I looked at all. Really liked the Expedition Essentials; but very pricey at $230. I decided to go with Taco Garage DMM for $65 dollars which includes one Ram Ball mount in the kit. Received package the day after ordering with free shipping. Installation was simple. Less than 30 minutes from start to finish. Very solid and low profile. Has the cutouts necessary to run power underneath if desired. My wife liked it so much; she asked me to order a another X-Grip for her to use as a passenger. I also ordered a bracket from Etsy to mount my Baofeng UV-6R handheld radio from the DMM rather than having it sitting in the cup holder. Will post additional pics once the other mounts arrive.

Happen to remember the size and thickness of the sheet metal used?

I really don't. It was just typical sheet metal found at home depot. I needed to make an end cap to replace one made from plastic on the end of a gutter on my house. It was galvanized. In terms of the size, it was only as wide as the plastic and maybe a couple of inches long. The mount has been in there for a while now and it's rock solid.

    Check build thread!
Slight thread necromancy- but @oostroma s product is great. Fits perfect, no gaps, and high quality. Instructions were easy to follow, and it was delivered extremely quickly.

@Pongo, can you tell me what length of Rammount arm you used with your mount?
