    Tag responsibly! LOL

I never do "truck stuff" and I could care less. I did help a friend with 3 sheets of drywall. That's about it.

God some people are ridiculous. One single postive post regarding their tacoma and people have to go say things like "Six months …. Came back in a year over 15k miles and see how you feel about it then" and "If you bought an AT you wouldn't like the truck" and "Glad you like the truck. Have you used it as truck yet?"

Like what the hell people lol. Let people be positive, you don't have to shit on everyone and tacomas all the time.

Also I'm happy for you OP, Thanks for sharing. I've only had mine for 5 weeks or so and put 2600 miles on it already. Love every mile, haven't had a gear hunting issue, and not a single complaint... and I have an AT (OMG y'all).

    Awesome man!

Im loving my 18 MT as well! It’s been 3 years and I still find every excuse to go drive it. I get compliments all the time as well.

3rd gen taco is a great truck!

Highly recommend 2WD low mod sir, lifesaver if towing any kind of trailer.

my 2020 sr has the Auto, but it does not bother me.

Got 28k on this rig with zero issues.

If I had to do it over, I'd go with a Non-TSS 2019 with 4 cyl and manual trans, but
I still like this truck, but the DIY in me wants a 2.7. I do not look forward to tearing into this V6.

Yes, it's good to see someone here praising + enjoying their truck.

Someday I'll have a spin with the 6MT and feel how it compares to my 5MT.

I'm just at 18 months and 10,000 miles on my AT Pro. I have zero complaints about my truck. None. Zip. Nada. This truck is awesome!

I don’t get the complaints about the automatic. My ‘05 was a manual… loved it. But my 3rd gen auto… Zero complaints. No shiftiness, nada. Put some pressure on that peddle and this truck really moves.

    Fact!

In the last 3 weeks I had to use 4Low on the street to pull a vehicle up a trailer carefully , and also to unstuck a landscaping trailer in my front yard (in a hole). 2Low mod would have let me turn with out so much stress.

Yeah... it's the internet so "all voices matter"

When I got my auto ,4x4 ,4door it was getting 22 combined . I also conduced many "scientific experiments" by racing friends manual 3rd gen (also drove the manual 3rd gen) . can confirm the auto smokes that slow ass POS. jk jk ... but seriously it is slower.

Dude, this mod is worth every penny and it’s so useful. Also your clutch will last longer with it.

    Check build thread!
I love mine too. I'm at 17k km in 3-4 months. 4k of that on dirt. Just did 150km on dirt these last 3 days on trails scouting for the motocross camp I help run. It's the perfect companion for working far into the forest in rural Canada like I am right now.

    hummm must do this...

Also, yeah no clutch for my 3rd gen ... i know, i know. It wasn't my decision (wife's). However, In this case she was actually right for once. no one is trying to fumble around with their left leg all while being slow + getting stuck in sand. i mean ... ya...

Oh, so honestly 2WD low is not as beneficial for you. You’ve got the torque converter multiplying your torque.

I actually didn’t think about that torque Multiplier effect..

with the manual , once in 1st gear ( no slipping with the clutch) and in 4 low the lower 1st gear AND 4.3 diff gears are noticeably lower vs my auto in 4L. Off road going down steep grades the MT feels way more controlled when crawling in 1st I don’t know the final craw but it’s got to be higher for sure .
