So I noticed these odd 'scratch' marks on the hood of my 3-month old Tacoma.
Truck has not left the road per-se where any limb could touch it.

Looks like points where the protective 'paper' would be pulled off after delivery - on the
left and right hand side. Anybody seen anything like this? Should I try to 'rub it out' ?

Afraid if actual scratches it will only get worse.

That looks like the hood needs painting . I would see if the dealer would work a deal with you .

Are they scratches or left over adhesive? I can’t tell by the pic. If that area is down to metal you’re screwed and need it painted.

Adhesive apparently - quick fingernail to a small piece and it came up... damn... had me worried sick.

Spit-shine on a hot surface and a micro-fiber-cloth took it all off....

If you have isopropyl alcohol then try rubbing some of that on it. Clay bar will get it off but that sounds like too much work for adhesive

Get some 3M Adhesive Remover. That’s what it’s for and it’s good for oil and tar removal too.
