Unloading the old iron from yesterday.
    Built in 1952, 14 hp @ 2400 rpm.

This one has a reduction gear, the ratio is almost 4:1. The gear case is huge, 17" across, the 4 belt pulley is 8".
I put the oil bottle in for some scale.

So, I not only found out the guys name who owned the truck before me but was able to get his phone number too. Called him, told him what I found and told him I’d like to return it. He said nah, I’ve got plenty and I appreciate it. I thanked him for his service and said I tell you what I’ll do with it. I know a guy who fought in Vietnam and I would give it to him. He said that is great and thanked me.

Also got this little guy thrown in. I believe it is an old truck air brake compressor. Anybody recognize?

Turns and makes air. 2 cylinder with screw caps on top to service the valves.
I'm sure some of the plumbing is added.

Grunt and wheeze a bit and the cousins are together on a pallet. I went to Ohio for the one in the back.

How did I do this stuff before the forklift? (I was less old...)

Notice the crank handle stored on the back wall of the house, standard equipment for these.

I started working at 14, I was running a gravel screen powered by a 4cylinder Wisconsin with a pancake muffler. Loudest thing in the world and I got $5 an hour under the table. When I got offered my current job, which started at 31$ and will increase every 6 months till I hit 38$ I almost cried. I didn’t think it was a possibility when I was younger to like, nonetheless enjoy a job. Here I am now, working the best job I’ve ever had.

Cory, @McRib has sparks coming out of his outlets during lightning storms. What’s the probable cause?

I mean I know it’s lightning, but maybe a bad ground?

Me either until my wife saw one the other day and showed me. Apparently someone found a stash or stole some of grandmas money.
