Think how easy it is to unload the bed though.

    1) left foot on brake.
    2) right foot on gas pedal, floored.
    3) release left foot.

How do you LOAD the bed? I'd think everything would just fall out on its own??

    Loading is even easier. :)
Tailgate will hold it all in.

I finally figured out the advantage to a squatted truck.

Its easier to crawl over the speed bumps and curbs at the mall.

    It opens the approach angle.

Personally I do not like it one bit. I think it's stupid and looks silly.
Buy my Dad said it was stupid and looked silly when I did it in reverse to my cars 35 years ago.

Don't worry it's coming, one these trucks pass on to the second owner plus it's game on. Affirm is standing by to make those dreams a reality too.

@PlumpPossum and myself have been talking about getting a TW SQUAT CLUB going, recruiting members will have to send a roller pic of their squatted Tacoma’s, and audio of them clapping. PM the possum for more details.

I have been modding since the mid 70's, usually lifted trucks. This is not my truck but mine was identical except I had a beige two tone in the middle:
    upload_2021-7-16_16-50-13.jpg
People modding cars usually jacked up the ass to emulate drag cars. Back then, my Dad told me (he started driving in 1950) that when HE was young the guys wanted their cars to look like drag cars too, except the cars looked like this:
    upload_2021-7-16_16-42-2.jpg
They were gassers! So he told me that he took an animal feet trough, put it in the trunk and filled it with dirt to get the squat look in the back. They then put spacers on the lift springs in front to get the look of a gasser. So the fad just keeps on going. Anyway, here is, I think, the first squatted pickup:

Your 06 is gonna looked beautiful squatted. It really suits the 2G body. Also having that truck motor way up in the sky is super cool. Show off the oil pan and all.
