Probably will. I've got some 99% around, and if I'm being honest I'm not super concerned with the paint turning out super good. It's going look terrible til it's beaten up anyway.

Yes, but never on an optic or plastic/rubber. Like klavneder1 I use 90% alcohol or ethyl alcohol and I wipe the part, don't blast it or saturate the part. You can leave whatever it is sitting in the sun for a bit to warm it up and help any solvents to volatilize.

Incidentally, I've got one of the Primary Arms stencils that I use (got it on sale otherwise I'd have made my own out of a manila folder). https://www.primaryarms.com/primary-arms-multiple-terrain-stencil-pamts-pamts It'll depend on your area of course but I've tried the sponge method and didn't care for it for this area but it looks great on rifles I've seen out west. The pine straw method seems to do pretty well here but I'm not a fan of the laundry bag/snake look. My personal opinion is that folks get too detail oriented and it gets busy looking. Take a piece of cardboard and spray a couple of different patterns on it then put it in the area that you hunt/shoot and start walking away from it. Pick whatever works for you.

I don't mind the paint job but there is just something about a stamped AK in 2x4 furniture that is just sexy to me. The more beat up the more I like it.

Painted my Remington 870 this past weekend. Getting ready for Ohio Spring Turkey. I went ahead and painted my slug barrel while I was at it A686BFCE-1243-43A0-8148-06B4EC84DE1D.jpg642DC774-A058-4F9C-B39B-A32A9A688437.jpg

Knocked this out today. I'm happy with it on a budget gun. 20210716_191019.jpg
