Thank you very much for your response. I'm 100% concerned about water leakage, and nothing else. Did you ever notice any signs of leaking? I live in Florida, so lots of water exposure.

awful for me, long legs, 6'2", made my knees push into the dash. i found another solution. instead of raising the front bottom of the seat, i lowered the rear bottom where the sitting bones contact the seat bottom, same basic effect regarding leg position, but created a softer bucket in the seat to sink into. it's now the comfy chair. can drive for hours totally comfortable.

I probably spend to much on Toyotas... my front bumper should arrive next week though and I need to get a winch. Really need some gears too. Skid plates, supercharger, front and rear light swaps. That sounds like a lot more apologizing to the wife...

Water appeared to make it passed the seal, but never leaked to the interior. Always parked outside and washed weekly. You'll probably be okay.

Had to sell my 17 Tacoma for a tow rig in order to pull my new home. Still here for a bit to keep in touch.
No flush plugs, but this worked out pretty well and works.

That's what I have been thinking. The silver sticks out like a sore thumb. Kinda like the tail lights.

Awesome thing happened today. Went to Tractor Supply. Was leaving and to my surprise parked next to me was my first ever truck. My 1997 Tacoma LX V6 ext. cab. Purchased it brand new off the showroom floor and that’s what started my love affair with trucks. I drove it for about 65k miles until 2007, but sadly traded it in on a larger truck. The new owner came out and let me check it out. He actually bought it from the dealership a week after I traded it in 2007. He gave $5k for it and it now has 223,000 miles on it. It started right up and ran perfectly. He said he basically hasn’t done anything too it. Me on the other hand, I’m on my 5th new truck and have spent enough to have purchased a small castle.:)

Obviously was said in jest, but you go do this and tell me you don't need a winch.

    Also, don't do that.

Look on Amazon for the Hooke Road version. I got one for about $140 shipped.

I love my tonneau. It keeps things dry in the bed and gives me the ability to lock things up, and also prevents people from tossing trash in my truck bed. I did this for the same reason you're thinking about doing it, now just need the trailer.
My only hang up is that I would like to have the ability to carry a kayak and a bike on a rack, and there are few options. Fortunately, more things are being made every day.

Mine just arrived today. Gonna install it tomorrow. Sadly, I didn’t buy it for those extreme outdoor camping trips, or for tailgating at the game. I bought it so that when we are changing the baby in the Target parking lot on the tailgate, she will be more comfortable for those several minutes. Also so the kids have somewhere to set their drinks while playing outside.
