I wish it was on the main track but it haint. It’s a road course on the infield and the longest straightaway is 1900 foots so I’m looking for aboot 115 MPH

I hate to say...but I've shot feral cats from time to time.
The animal shelter won't take them, so what are you gonna do?
Life ain't all sunshine and rainbows.

There was one tomcat in particular who was a pest... he would come in through the cat door to raid the cat food.
Unfortunately, he'd then proceed to mark the joint.
Piss on my furniture and you're asking for it.

Mrs Gritto doesn't like it, but she's sensible enough to agree as to the necessity of such measures.
So I take care of it and keep the details to myself, to try and spare her feelings.

tru story.....
back in the day........................... i raced my motorcycle on the road course in Pocono, and they used the portion of the back stretch, oh, and i almost shat my leathers, when a deer jumped out onto the track, and was running down the track next to the wall, but i passed her at 145, and she was gone on the the next lap......

Story Time With Gritto

[I've told this one before, but am gonna add some details not mentioned previously]

When I ran cross country in high school, I was in the reprobate half of the team.
During our 3 mile warm up run before the training session, we'd take a short cut.
This was on the Gettysburg battlefield.
The warmup route was to go via Wainwright Avenue to Spangler's Spring and back via the other Avenue from the Spring (I forget the name now) to the athletics field.
The new high school has since been relocated to the other side of town. The old one was right next to Cemetery Hill.

We had Piel's Real Draft Quickies and weed stashed in the woods at Culp's Hill.
We'd stay there long enough for a 7 oz quickie (each) and a toke.
Once we figured the straight arrows had gone by, we'd emerge from the woods and return.

But one of the straight arrows squealed.
One day we came out of the woods and suddenly our coach's Corvair was behind us.

Back at the athletics field, we expected an epic chewing out.
But all he did was shake his head and say:
"You assholes will never beat Camp Hill".

And we never did.
We always, without exception, beat everybody else in the league.

 

Nice touch with the tennis balls.

 

Damn, that was a close call!
