Sheriffs Bonham and Gregorie came to pick up the guns themselves. I had an enjoyable evening with them. Both offered me a job when I told them I was retiring from down here, I politely declined.

Good Morning HOT/HUMID here. calls for some rain tonite into tommorow. please rain. got my first 5 tomatoes today. dang deer ate my cucumber patch to the root. and they were huge with bloom all over them. so started some more from seed about 2weeks ago and put in garden this morning and double caged them,awful late but think the mite work. have a good day

 

I never had much luck with cukes or pumpkins. They need so much water. And, if I planted them in my mainly clay ground, they would produce a few small ones at best. If I potted the plant, it would quickly outgrow the pot. This may be a good year though, with all the rain. You won't need to out there watering every day.

 

actually we are almost drought dry here. cut back the garden size by 2/3 over the years to be able to keep it up. tomatoes,cukes,squash,and peppers. i added a pic of them caged to my post.

 

Mid Missouri is astoundingly beautiful. It's a very rural area but as "American" as you can get. I've lived in many many states, on two continents and three Countries. I like it here. LOL

Mater’s

 

My Mater patch this year, taken a couple of weeks ago. A couple of plants didn't make it, but two of the midnight cherry tomatoes and one regular tomato plant are growing like bonkers.


And damn they are tasty!

 

Did you finish, and were there any pieces left over??

 

Here's some of our tomato plants. I need to stake them. We have had so much rain recently, for example over 3 inches since yesterday.

 

Last two years my cukes turned yellow .
So this year I just did maters.
So far so good.

yes the boys worked on it Sat. morning @ 3 hrs and finished for her 3rd birthday party we had yesterday.?ill have to get a pic of it finished.. I may have over hydrated alittle at the party. the wife drove home no extra pieces but ran out of bolts and lag screws. we just blamed it on the company not sending enough.

 

Good morning allcouldnt sleep so cleaned out the frig and cooked a fresh sausage hash. If you put some in a bowl and add an egg. put in the microwave and bam, like those scramble ones you buy in the store to add an egg.
