    Do you have one?

    No?

    That's the reason.

    Do you already have one?

    Yes?

Then you need a spare; that's the other reason.

Yep, that's the way it usually goes. One good thing was for a bit I had the same inspector for several locations across SoCal. I remember meeting Ed when I was just getting started. I was on site for his last inspection in Thousand Oaks almost 40 years later. RIP Ed.

Got one for a campsite that didn't allow generators. 1 8.0 ran a 48' LED string light with every other bulb unscrewed for 2 nights, prob would've gone another night. 6.0 made it 1 night with all bulbs lit.

Just bought one yesterday for that reason. Didn't want to be the asshole with the generator running when doing overland stuff. Excited to see what it can handle.

Replacing some sprockets and chain at work today. This is most of the Milwaukee tools it took to complete the task. 6769C77F-8E08-4D88-B66D-49030E261512.jpg

Some of their bare tools are actually cheaper than HD, before the discount. Really think i need the caulk gun...

So I bought the M12 caulk gun and for caulking I don’t like it or use it much, still a hand caulk gun. Too much delay from trigger press to material coming out unless its on a higher/faster setting at which point it comes out so fast you damn near need to run to caulk fast enough. For large amounts of adhesive though, its awesome (stair treads, drywall, etc).

I have the slightly different experience with the m12 caulking gun. I thought it was the best thing since sliced bread. Easy to work with, auto retract so you have limited drips…

Best tool I got from Milwaukee is my m12 rivet gun. Holy cow is it awesome. I've had 2 air rivet guns and they just don't last. The Milwaukee is killer.

I have the M18 drill and impact combo, M18 Mud Mixer (I use with an ice auger) and M18 vacuum. For M12 tools I have the aforementioned rivet tool and the m12 Hacksall.

About to buy an m12 cordless ratchet. Is there a specific one you guys suggest? Just a 3/8 standard duty ratchet- nothing impact rated.

I'm a real big fan of my high torque 1/2 in and the 3/8 impact as well. Their m18 light is fantastic honestly, I'll take a pic of ours in a bit. I also really like the m18 shop/job site speaker. Works great and the Bluetooth is easy to use. We're on day 3 of nearly constant use with a Chinese knockoff 5.0 battery.

edit: added photo of the light. It's been through hell and back, and still works great! The magnetic base is super strong and very handy with the swivel head. 77A51B94-DF27-4CFC-9116-2439084A922D.jpg

Do you have the m12 Hacksall? That thing is flat out incredible. With the 9" pruning blade it's like a little, portable chainsaw. I take it camping, it's awesome around the firepit. And it's saved my ass a bunch when I had to cut some things like a trailer coupler lock that the key broke off in.

I probably could use that. Big gas chainsaw is overkill sometimes.

Is it worth stepping up to the m18 or m12 do all you need?
