Would be cool if peeps could add their input on the RTT they have, their experience with it. I’m going to get one soon but have no idea as there are a lot of options.

You might check out and overland forum like Expedition Portal. They have a ton of RTT content.

I'll chime in real quick. I have a 23Zero Walkabout 62 and it's amazing! If you go camping a bunch and don't mind dropping ridiculous cash on a RTT I'd highly recommend it. Bed is comfy and the blackout tech means I don't get woken up when the sun is up.

Beautiful! I was considering this one! These things are crazy expensive for a good one

They are not cheap unfortunately. And honestly if i was going to do it again and had a long bed truck I probably would go for a hard shell haha.

See that’s what I just sold I sold my Lear camper topper with wind doors because with a rooftop tent I can utilize the bed space as well and it just wasn’t happening with a camper because we would sleep back there and have almost no room left to haul anything

I like being able to park in the garage so I ended up with a mid height bed rack so I could fit the tent on and still park in garage. So my truck bed space is limited even more, and that's with a 5ft bed. That being said I've made the most of what I've got :D

Made a custom platform that fits under the bed mat so I'm not actually drilling into my truck bed to mount stuff. Got a fridge with a slideout, giant pelican case for all my tools/recovery gear and 14gal water tank for cleaning people/dishes. Space to the left of the fridge fits my kitchen tote, chairs, ez up and whatever else I need to bring to the woods. Pretty much lost my bed at this point for hauling haha.

Would the camper not have been able to support the RTT bolted onto it? I think my end goal is a canopy with a tent on top but I need a bigger garage for that.

I went with the iKamper x-cover. It is big enough to fit the family, only 120lbs so I'm not over the dynamic load limit on the shell, there is no cover to mess with, and the window situation is way better than a hardshell RTT.

I never thought of it. I just wanted to sell the camper so that I could start my rooftop tent build is honestly why I got rid of it. Your truck looks badass!!!

Just use mine this past weekend for 3 nights. It’s the Chinese rtt I got from a group buy here a few years back. Wish I got the annex for it.
