Does anyone know if it's possible to install something like this in a 2020 Tacoma with no driver-side bed compartment? It seems like it might be feasible to just cut out that portion of the bed, but I'm dumb so what do I know?

Well its possible to install the compartment by yourself so I would assume you could also install this. Might look a little weird and you would probably get dirt/water coming up into the bed without a cover

Not sure if that would fit, but I cut out a hole in my drivers side to fit a bed cubby. There was plenty of room up and down, but not much side to side.

I basically just measured exactly where the cutout was on the passenger side and mirrored that over to the drivers side.

Just used a drill to drill pilot holes for the 4 corners and a fine tooth jigsaw to cut the rear out. Pretty simple. Fiberglass is messy though, in case you weren’t aware. I’d recommend wearing long sleeves and gloves.

As referenced above; i made a cardboard template from the passenger side box.

Easy Peasy, other than the slightly queasy feeling you'll get when you start cutting into your new truck!0121211937.jpg 0121212111.jpg 0121212117a.jpg

    Nothing major
Hi there, can I ask...did the bolts come with the cubby, or did you source those? If so, what'd you use? I want to do this but would like them to look oem like the passenger side.

OP, did you ever do this? Seems like it's cheaper to use the steel door option from Wheelers, but if you want to go oem looking you have to buy the cubby door AND the cubby...only to cut up the $200 cubby simply for the door to attach.

    Thanks!
