Cannot find reasonably priced speaker adapter for 6x9 front doors. Only place that I can find is taco tunes for 35 bucks. All adaptors on Amazon say up to 2015 Tacoma. Any suggestions?

Never met an off the shelf adapter that I'd use - they're flimsy and can make noise. If you don't mind a little DIY, get yourself some HDPE cutting boards & use the old speakers for templates. Cut out with a jigsaw.

Line the front and back with 1/16” foam and cover then in sound deadening and they’re plenty solid.

As dumb as this sounds. I had 2 sets of speakers installed in my 2012 DCSB. Kenwood and JBL. And a set of Infinity's in my current 2020 Pro.
All by a local sound shop. Total installed time right at 10 years with never an issue.
This I'm sure will draw some negative comments. But in both trucks for all three sets they used the factory speaker as an adaptor.
Simply knocked/cut the cone out of the factory speaker. Screwed the replacement speaker into the factory speaker frame.
Then remounted the factory frame into the door. Here's a pick of the back door with the Infinity's mounted in the factory JBL frame.

Thanks for the input. I actually did make some adaptors out of wood and I thought they worked well until I put on some music with Bass then the vibration started. Didn't think about weather seal and sound deadening. I will try that. Appreciate your help!

Mine actually came with the Kicker speakers from Crutchfield. Along with a wiring pigtail that matched the factory harness.
