A little back story to my current struggle of decision.

I was running Icon stage 4 all around, and i needed a bit more out of the rear end. With a tent, fridge, airtank, and whatever else’s i may have in the bed i was lacking both lift and ride quality with the Icon AAL.

So I upgraded to the RXT Pack. With this pack, I also went Icon Hydro Bumps, and the huge game changer was the @4xinnovations shackle flip kit and new hangars. I’ve gained significant lift and articulate very very well. (Measurements to come)

I have a set of 14” 2.5 Kings that i scored for 600 bucks on offer up (HUGE come up, guy thought they were 2.0’s) and i need to get them installed as my current Resis are no where near the length I need them to be.

So the question comes. Which relocation kit should I run, I’ve heard nothing but great things from both but that with the BAMF Kit the tower is shorter? And that one has a much easier install than the other. What is your experience?

also obviously lead time is a huge part of this, and i could order the WIY from BAMF and be rollin by the weekend but sometimes things are worth the additional wait.

just wanted to see my options. I know @Arcticelf i think also makes also too?

    does anyone run this configuration?

anyways! Your help would be awesome! Here’s a couple pics from install

Ive ran both archive 2.0 and artic elf kit. Both are good options. The BAMF kit isnt going to let you take the full height and bump travel into consideration since it is mounted lower on the frame. Archive just came out with a new 2.0 shock relocation which i am running now on my truck. 2.5 kit will work for the artic elf kit as well. I saw get the one you feel most comfortable with but both are solid. One thing to note is archives kit is weld on only while artic els can be bolted on. Im actually still running the bolted on lower mounts and have wheeled pretty rough with no issues.

For 2.5x14, you're going to want the archive relocate. Can't fit a 2.5 body very well in a bamf, not to mention it doesn't get the upper mount up as high. I've installed bamf and both of archives relocates (he now offers two based on your needs) on various trucks. The archive that can house 14s is a fine piece of equipment and very easy to locate on the frame as it fits in this little pocket of the bed. The top of the tower also bolts to the bed of the truck for added rigidity.

When you compare the two side by side, it's easy to see the height difference. Archive is at least a few inches higher. This is what allows a longer shock to be ran.

I'd want to confirm shock spacing and alignment to clear that hydro-bump before saying you can definitely run mine. I pulled everything as close to the frame as possible to clear bigger tires, and that might cause a clearance issue.

Archive should work, BAMF is probably not tall enough to stuff the 14s and still have good bump travel.

Normally could a 14” be ran with your hoop?
What do you want me to measure to see if it will work? I do like your tower. And the bolt on factor is very nice as well. Also, the locker I bought from you has been working very well!

Thank you all for the input so fast.

if i can make it work with @Arcticelf i may go that route, if not i think i will be going with @ARCHIVE. Sometimes the wait is worth it and this may be the case.

I just don’t wanna do it again i know that lol

To add actual data to your point, the Archive original 2.5" tower puts the top shock eye as high as physically possible on a DCSB bed, which is about 3.75" higher than the other tower pictured.

Fantastic to hear, I'm glad that's not just sitting on a shelf.

Yes, a 14" shock will work.

If you can measure how far off the frame the outer most point of the bump is I can confirm clearance.
