Installed intermittent wiper switch. that’s it.
Driving and heard a rattle , the next thing I know these 2 parts fell off ,only one partial bolt in one of the holes. I know it’s a heat shield but don’t know where it mounts. I have a 2011 Tacoma. Does anyone have an idea where the mount. Any help will be appreciated.

Drivers side, downstream cat. Scrounge up some stainless screws and nuts for the tabs, and use a hose clamp around the smaller end.

Make sure it's a stainless steel clamp or it will rust thru in just a few months. You can hold the two halves together while you put it together using some zip strips tied together until you are done, then just cut them off.

Suggest not to use regular nuts, stainless or otherwise.

The vibration and heat cycling will loosen a standard nut.

I had the same shield eject from my truck. Used steel bolts and a pair of nylok type nuts, then a screw type clamp. The nyloks have a fairly high temperature resistance they are also resist vibration and are not likely to loosen. Its just a heat shield, it doesn't need gorilla torque to hold it in place.

    Reserected from the dead.
    I just removed mine completely.

They are there to prevent a hot exhaust catching tall weed on fire.

    I'm not gonna miss mine.

I'd use some Blue Loctite before using Nylocks.

On my 2009 the shield is only on the drivers side and it protects that front driveshaft from getting cooked. Take a look up there.
Use lock washers. Fixed mine years ago and its still there.

Stainless zip tie if you must leave them on, otherwise consider it a weight reduction mod.

Useless heat shield. I had to cut mine off when I had my pipe off because the nuts and bolts seized.

    Good riddance.
