For now I am, in the middle of remodeling and expecting our first child come December. The mods on the truck will have to wait.

Stero guy replaced the JL sub with a JL tw3 10. If you buy the JL stero upgrade you have to buy the luggage carrier to fit the stealth box. Also pain in the ass....the amp the powers the sub also powers the deck and they give you no room to work with for mounting. Definitely gave him a challenge.

Today, I put in a protective rear seat cover. For a "universal fit", it does fit well enough. The bottom straps were a challenge given the design of the rear seats but I managed to get them secured. I decided to use the underside as the top because the charcoal color that was offered was too light to match the interior. Black looks much better to me.

I went with the Undercover Flex Hard Tri-Fold on a recommendation of a friend that has had one on his F-150 for 9 years. The third section can be propped open for loading/unloading and even driven at highway speeds that way. This allows almost full bed access without removing the cover.

I did the hose barb adapters to run the drain lines through the existing drain holes in the bed so it stays pretty dry inside. I also added the OEM bed mat so if I do get any water in the bed my gear still stays dry.

It is very secure and I am very happy with it so far.

Yesterday marked my first month of having my Tacoma. We have put 4,267 miles on it across 11 states.

We did 63 miles on the Blue Ridge Parkway (James River To Rockfish Gap) stopping at almost every scenic overlook.

We visited four historic sites (Appomattox Courthouse, Gettysburg, Valley Forge and Fort McHenry).

We have also had the kayaks in four different bodies of water.

And got lots of practice at Tacoma Tetris.

What a great month it’s been with the family and the Tacoma.

Are your wheels 4R wheels? If so I remember reading a thread somewhere that the new 4R’s hub has changed slightly. There was a thread. If I find it I’ll post it…

Could you elaborate on this? Or if anybody has more info I would greatly appreciate it. I didn't want to drill holes for the drain lines. My cover should be here this week. Hopefully I'll have everything figured out by the weekend.

So far, so good in both city driving and on unlit roads. I asked the installer "if" I was to tint the windshield how it would affect visibility. From what he showed me, it all depends on the quality of the film. Stepped into the dimly lit garage and gave me two samples, one was pretty clear, the other - Stevie Wonder glasses, so I went with that...on the sides...of course. *EDIT - the clearer one, of course.
