I’ve got a 3.5 L 2017 double cab short bed and was wondering what exhaust would be the best for mine. I would prefer not spending 400+. Anybody got any ideas?

The one that's on it. I'm not joking the TRD exhaust I bought for my 2018 had very little sound difference. I doubt it even made anymore power. The only reason i'd buy an aftermarket stainless exhaust is if the stock one rotted out.

It did look nice vs. stock.

What are you looking to get out of it? If it’s power, it won’t happen until you turbo/supercharge your engine. If it’s noise, there are plenty of louder options but it’ll never sound like a V8. Just my 2 cents.

Can get some nice power gains from a tune as well.

Exhaust or intake, not a chance.

Like it so much bought another one . First time it lasted 3yrs and had no leaks . The welds on the fins inside the muffler broke and made the truck louder. So I replaced a week ago little more quiet now but still sounds good . It's made in Canada lol.

Let us know if we can offer a quote on anything. We really like the MBRP and Borla on these engines. Message me for a quote if interested

Not cheap, however I'm VERY Please with the TRD exhaust on my '18 TRD Sport. It's not loud, but if I were looking for loud I'd just take my muffler off. I was looking for a nice deep high performance tone which the TRD system provides.
Gives the illusion of more power even though it doesn't provide such. It should last practically forever considering it's stainless construction.

Stick with the stock exhaust. I have the TRD factory exhaust on my Pro. Wish X2 I just had the standard factory exhaust. No HP gains and that constant buzz in the background.

Stock exhaust is the best exhaust imo

i got my Gibson catback on ebay new and it was 360 maybe? Very happy with the exterior sound / interior drone or lack of one, ease of install.

Straight pipes from headers back. Side exit just behind the cab. This will give you two big benefits. 1. You will sound soooo much better for roughly $75 in stainless. 2. You will gain 2” ground clearance getting rid of the stock “Y” pipe.

How is the sound? MBRP usually tend to be pretty raspy and loud.

sadly no, I can take a video if you would like and send it via email. All the videos i listened to on Youtube were pretty useless coming through my computer speakers.

Oh no worries, I don’t want you to go through all this trouble. I’m sure it sounds great! Gibson is a good brand.
