Finished putting things back together after my first valve adjustment at 267K miles, 2.7 3rz engine. Exhaust side all tight at .10 with one at .09 clearance. Intake side all .08 with two at .07. Bought proper shims to bring all exhaust to .13 with one at .12. Used the special tools to remove the shims, did three and said screw it, too much of a hassle. I pulled the exhaust cam and made the job easier. My advise is if you have more than two to do just pull the cam.

I just went with the Noico butyl sheets cause Amazon could deliver them the next day… I had to get my truck back on the road.

I just finished the final step in making my interior a magical blue forest- swapping the gauge cluster bulbs to blue LEDs. It was a long and messy process but totally worth it.
The picture doesn’t do it justice-

Over the weekend I cleaned up my engine bay and dropped the engine back in Sunday evening. Looks a lot cleaner than it did before. Yesterday I picked up my trans that I had rebuilt and will hopefully have it in this weekend. With any luck, I’ll be driving this thing next month.
