Just got my first taco, a 2021 trd off-road. I have to wait until October for my winch bumper to get here, so no winch for now. I also have no off-roading experience. Are there any trails close to Huntsville where I can start learning but not get into too much trouble?

    THANKS for any advice.

I think there's a ride this weekend at the 600 road in the TNF. A stock truck could make it through.

Hey Tom, Welcome to TW! Be careful roaming around the forums, the mod bug will hit soon. Make sure you stop in to the BamaThread to meet the guys that are pretty active around here.

I live just outside of town in New Market. HSV doesn't have much but my favorite place is Stoney Lonesome just outside of Cullman. It's about a hr away and has trails from mild to wild. Also, it's wet enough right now that all you need is a dirt road to try out 4wd.

That might be more fun/sloppy after the 7 inches of rain we had this week.

We are going to meet right around 9:30. At least one guy will be brand new to off roading. I think this trail (600-1) is fun when it’s wet. Send me a dm if you are interested.

If you can go with these guys this weekend 601 and 602 is a great place to start, it is a pretty easy trail ride.

Lol bro, I know. It’s on my to-do list, but I’ll do that one when you guys are there so I just follow your lines. I’m looking forward to doing it though.
