I've got a 2008 AC, frame and rear leafs replaced a year and a half ago under the warranty program. I just swapped in the front suspension from a 2019 off road, and I have the rear leafs from the 2019 as well.

I have a fiberglass cap on the back, and with the off road front springs, its sitting half an inch higher in the back, but I just got back from Baja and loaded with camping and fishing gear, it's pretty much level front to back.

So I know about the pros and cons of add a leafs and a new leaf pack - I just want to stiffen the rear under load and restore factory rake. Would it be possible to pull apart one of the leaf packs I have, add one of the leafs to the set on the truck and get a bit more height and firmness?
Anyone tried? Or should I just sell the newer leafs and get a custom set?

I believe the only height you'll gain is from the thickness of the leaf. When you add in an identical leaf to your current leaf pack it will add load capacity but since it won't be arched any differently than what you have it won't really lift the truck.

Did you ever end up combining leaf springs? I have the same situation and I’m tired of the back sagging.
