Anybody got a line on OEM headlight housings?

Ordered a set of smoked OEM headlights from a dealership almost two months ago for my ‘09, they are now telling me that it’s an issue at the manufacturing level and they can no longer even give me an ETA. I need new headlights and had planned on doing the ultimate mod like in the sticky, but now I’m stuck since I seemingly can’t get new housings. Any ideas? I would even consider going a different route but even the best aftermarket sets seem to have problems. Thanks in advance.

From my readings, the best is to stick with OEM housings for the headlight. If you're running into an issue locally, try ordering the housings online from one of Toyota online dealers of OEM parts. It's how I bought some OEM parts. Buying locally for me was too expensive. It was actually cheaper for me to buy and ship to Hawaii than buy local, sadly enough. I think in the past I've ordered from Daytona Toyota, Toyota of Dallas, and McGeorge Toyota. I know there are others people use and buy from. Shop around and see what's cheaper.

I tried ordering it from the dealership mentioned in the sticky about the headlight conversion. I’ll try a few other dealerships then.

For what it's worth, I believe the OEM headlights were made at North American Lighting in Flora, Illinois.

If the need isn't urgent, then I'd suggest to wait.

The supply chain feeding manufacturers is fouled up by the impact from Covid.

I'm waiting to order a HU and speakers. Stock is depleted on numerous online sources and stores.

I’m going through same thing. I have passenger side but not the drivers. Got an update of 8/30 ETA yesterday.
