Dobinson mrrs Deaver leafs archive garage hammer hangers.
Had ome meds with the aal to make them HDs for about year hated them, ride way to stiff even with alot of weight made to much noise. I since then put on Deaver u402 stage 2 and never been happier.

I've got OME heavy duty Dakar leaf packs and they ride like a truck when unloaded and when loaded down with all my camping gear they ride great. I have a bed rack and RTT that live 365 on the truck. Around town they're fine, they really shine towing or with your bed fully loaded. HOWEVER! Loud as shit. Squeaking followed my more squeaking followed by.....more squeaking. I'd lube the shit out of them and they'd be good for....a month or until I saw any dirt/dust and then they'd be squeaky again. I ended up ripping off and adding some Speedway Motor leaf spring liners. Disassembled, cleaned and installed. Squeaks are gone completely. If I had to do it again I'd end up going with some other brand, Dobinsons or something.

I appreciate all the feedback guys. I’m just trying to make the loaded ride tolerable without smashing the overload every hump in the road.. found a set of the icon progressive AAL for cheap on marketplace, gonna see if he’s available today. Pics will come for install hopefully this weekend. :fingerscrossed:

I'll say my HD pack did not hold up. Went flat and squeaky very quickly. The HD pack is supposed to be 600lbs but I felt that with just my regular truck shell and general camping gear, I was already seeing their demise. I would honestly look into a different leaf pack.

Update: Ended up picking up the icon progressive aal from a fellow member Ramulo in Chula vista. Might I add he has a super bitchin over landing rig with a lot of stuff I’m jealous about

I’ll write up a (semi)detailed thread on install, ride height differences and overall performance once I get installed, hopefully this Sunday.

I wanted to get the RXT pack but couldn’t pass up a local deal, and my budget is super tight lol!

Look forward to hearing what you think.

Which leaf specifically do you remove from the OME HD to make it a medium?

Just a note on everyone who complained about the OME's being squeaky, I followed RIpcords write up and used OEM bushings and added a plastic liner between the packs. I have zero issues with noise so far.

I also follow his thread and did the same thing, it lasted maybe a month before it got squeaky again and almost was worse.. No idea how the hell these things can be sold knowing the go to shit in almost no time at all.

Never had any good experiences with poly bushings, I had poly pushing a on my jeep xj leafs and even having 14lbs of grease in them they still managed to squeak, and not to mention they’re stiffer than rubber

So I decided to go look at the newer model leaf from OME for my Gen3 application and you know when you get a chinese knock-off and the finish is shinier and the metal thinner with terrible fit and finish? Thats the difference between my EL095R and the newer model, they "look the same" from 15ft away but the newer one is waaaayy better.

The new OME packs don’t squeak at all. Been running the updated EL112 (Heavy Duty) for over a year now and they haven’t squeaked at all. They changed something between those and the EL096 and it definitely works.

Man that's a bummer since my EL096s are just less than 1.5 years old lol. When did the EL112 release I wonder? My EL096s were loud as hell until I added the leaf spring liners.

Looks like 1 year ago. Blast. Oh well. Maybe newer better products will come out by the time I need to replace my EL096s haha

So I finally got around to installing the new EL111R's and I think this first picture summarizes my impression on the difference between these and the older EL095R, even the bolts are bigger on the newer leaf's.

Did any one get back to this guy about a leaf removal? Totter says second leaf from the bottom, but I would assume it’s easier to remove it before putting on the truck?
