So this afternoon my son text me..

He's now looking at these motorcycles a guy is willing to trade him one for one of his AudiTT. I give him my opinion of which bike I thought the better deal between a 2001 R1 or a 2003 CBR650, or 2017 Ninja 300 with 3k miles on it. The other two both have about 20k miles.
The thing is, I tried to get him on dirt bikes when he was younger and he showed no interest...no problem, I understand.
So when I learned how to ride a motorcycle I spent countless hours on the dirt and crashed numerous times. Knock on wood but I never been down on a street bike, and have accumulated 18k miles between 2 Hayabusa and my first 7k miles on a older GSX750

I felt like texting him...well son I'll be home in a hour or so, just go lay down out in the driveway and let me back over you.
    I didn't though.

    A thing or two...
I can't stand regular tea (sweet or not). I'll drink the hell out of some raspberry tea, and I have some crystal light green tea mango that's good.

Love me some Wawa coffee and Sizzlis. It's a good thing I don't live near one anymore. Drove past one on the way to/from work everyday when I was living over in VA. I stopped almost daily on the way to work for the last year that I lived there.

A YouTube channel I watch has one of those. They refer to it as pebble ice.

That's where the flavor comes from.

Honestly, I'm not sure if I'll ever have the desire to ride again or not. I didn't mention in previous post another 7k miles racked up on a 2007 HD.
I may want to ride again for sure but out of those 3 nicer bikes I've owned just never found enough time to ride and enjoy like I wanted to. They collected way too much dust. Not to mention my tendency to ride it like I stole it.

I’m the same way, i can read directions or have someone describe the steps but I learn much better being shown how to do it.

I've seen several comments as I’ve been researching this to get a good used mill over the chinesium stuff. I’m OK with buying used equipment that’s good quality.

I'll have to check on a small shop around here. I hadn’t thought about that. We have a VoTech right down the road form my house that has some metalworking classes, I know welding, not sure on what else so I will check there too. I just don’t want to get stuck in a bunch of “theory” type classes of a full blown program with CNC stuff that I don’t see me ever using.

    Thanks for the encouragement everybody!

This is actually a long talked about idea with a co-worker who retired a year ago. We were partners for a lot of years, both of us are gun fags and have an interest in gunsmithing in general. He’s done some coatings on the side and wants to specialize in that primaryly. I’ve always been the wrench turner guy. We are both Glock and AR certified armorers, I’ve been building and modifying them for close to 20 years now. We will work on them because that’s what everybody wants and it’s easy money since it’s mostly drop in parts. That said, both of our real passions are with blue steel and wood, we love revolvers, lever actions, shotguns and bolt actions. Probably because we’re both gray beards who started the job with wheelguns. Lol. We know it’s kind of an esoteric niche now for guns but that’s what we really want to work on.

I expect to have one done next month. They’ve been watching one in both of my eyes for about a year now. I can tell the one in my left eye is really starting to effect my vision.

The Blues are based out of Pensacola NAS the county to the west of me. Eglin AFB is partially in my county and the county to the east. We get to hear that glorious sound several times a year. Nothing is like the sound of a high performance jet pouring it on.

Never forget the time as a youngster and going to the airshow at Offutt Airforce Base and being right next to the runway and watching the F15 or F16 take off and go vertical climb near instantly...man did I want to do that!!!

I haven't been to the show in several years, 10 years or more. They're usually around this time of year but maybe only every other year now. I should make a point to go again.
