today i was pulling a small utility trailer, i had to back it up and when i did, it was uphill and i wound up scraping and breaking the wires going to the trailer lights. i then saw the traction control and abs lights were on. i went and got new fuses, the 50 amp and 30 amp and replaced them thinking i had blown a fuse, but the lights are still on. any suggestions where to try next? maybe disconnect battery for a bit?

ABS codes don’t usually go away with out clearing them with a scan tool.
    Where there any fuses blown?
I’d try to get the truck scanned for codes. You’ll need one that can pull abs codes.

Or if you feel up to it, do it yourself.
    You can even clear them.

To read them and clear them, grab the 2nd file here. (41002)
Read them close, follow the directions exactly.
You’ll need a small jumper wire.

i found 3 fuses blown. you'd think the would be 1 fuse for system, like the old days, i found out i also had tail lights, park lights and something else out, so i dug further and found other fuses blown, but 1 had a fuse under the hood and under the dash too. so i'm up and running, i just have to put a new plug on the trailer now. thanks for the comeback.

I hear you on “the old days”.
I remember when there was actually a dipstick for the transmission.
