Interesting. Next time I see a post from fish and game about it I'll have to share. It's really the mussels that they are looking for and they have shown boats absolutely covered in them coming from out of state. I am not sure what sort of fines there are for trying to bypass them, but I don't think it would be something I'd ever chance. There is one that's down the hill from us that's open 24/7 with no chance of slipping by unnoticed. Even in the winter they've got a pile of wood set aside for their bonfires. It's pretty impressive.

They have them at any point of entry into Alberta up here. We dont have any Zebra mussels yet and they want to keep it that way. Its a pretty good fine for driving by one here...can't remember what it is though.

Edit: Its only $310. thought it was more for some reason.

I don't believe we have any either. I think on our drive from NV, once you cross into the Idaho border there's a check and from there I'd guess about 6-7 more to our house. Not all of them is open year round like ours are surrounding the lake.

Never actually stopped at one though so I'm not sure what to expect.
