Wondering if there's a tire consensus on this site?

For MY purposes, looking for on/off road 90% twisted dry roads, 10% gravel forest service roads. Ideally, Severe Snow Service rated to be used all Winter in Tahoe. Should wear well, and be moderately quiet on the road. Will NOT be carrying heavy loads.

    Considering:

    1. BFGoodrich KO2
    2. Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S
    3. Continental TerrainContact AT
    4. Michelin LTX A/T2

Based on my above intended use and tire choices, what are your TOP 2 recommendations and WHY?

Have previous positive experience with both Cooper and Continental tires.

    Thanks in advance.

EDIT: List updated to reflect my top 4 choices.

    None.

    Michelin Defender LTX M/S

    or

Michelin LTX A/T2 for the AT version.

Your going to get 1000's of responses. But I'd say add Goodyear Duratracs to your list.

I've been very happy with KO2's on two different vehicles that have mixed on/off road use. If I were to change I've seen good performance on an acquaintance's Falken Wildpeaks.

Do you have a size in mind? That may eliminate some options.

BFG KBro2's are useless in the snow. And most other conditions, really. Falken Wildpeak AT3W, Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S, Firestone Destination XT, Toyo Open Country AT3, and quite a few other better, cheaper options out there. Top spec would be the Michelin Defender LTX.

I love my BFG’s in the snow.. I have put them on all my vehicles for the past 20+ years. Never have let me down.

In the last 15+ years I've never had a set that delivered even reasonable performance and tread life.

    I have an 03 tacoma, dblcab 2wd 3.4L auto. 265 70 R16 tires
Putting on ARB front bumper and a rear heaver steel bumper.
Also doing a complete OME suspension 2881 front coils and back leaf pack, 4 nitrocharger shocks.
I need some tires. Mostly highway. Camping in New England.
I'm going to buy an extra snowflake rim for the spare and swap it during the tire rotation.
Going to do the Tundra front brake upgrade to it as well. And finally replace the rack bushings.

The two tires I have in mind are:
Michelin Defender LTX M/S or Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza Plus

I have Firestone Destination A/T on now. Very happy overall with them. 70,000 rated and I got about 76,000 and never rotated the tires. I don't need something that aggressive or heavy and the gas mileage took a hit over original tires that I would like to get back some with these new tires.
I don't need to drive a lot in heavy snow but would like to handle some snow which I believe from reading the comments on the Michelin's anyway that I can.
I don't know much about the Bridgestone but when I compare the specs of the Michelin's to them they are the same, except that the Bridgestone are rated for 10,000 more miles.

I would appreciate anyone's thoughts on these tires or other's to consider.

I've read posts here on many different tires, Duratracs, Cooper ST Maxx, bridgestone dueler a/t revos, toyo open coutry at, cooper discover ATR, hankook Dyna Pro, cooper srx, Falkin WP3, BFG All Terrain T/A K02, Michelin LTX M/S2 that is now the Defender LTX M/S.
    Thanks
