Thank you! I have my preferences between UG and SG (I plan to add an FAQ on this to the webpage), but it's your choice :). Just an FYI, the SG mount is just the UG mount with an additional adapter plate. So you can start with the UG and then add the SG adapter if you decide to go that route, I sell it separately.

When I plug in my bluetooth reader and use the torque app, the ABS light flashes. I'd like to buy this mount and a scanguage but can anyone tell me if they get the blinking ABS light with them as well. The light is obnoxious. I have an 03 double cab.

Are you saying the ABS light starts flashing only when you have the bluetooth reader attached? That shouldn't be the case, but I don't know if it's a function of your reader or something on the vehicle side. Only one way to find out :).

Updating this thread to mention that all mounts are now being supplied with a high strength M6x1.0 screw to replace the OEM A-pillar Phillips screw. Those original low tensile strength screws had loctite applied during assembly, which makes for a high likelihood of damage during removal.

10/10 would recommend this as your mounting solution for an UG & SG. Fast shipping, super simple install.

So, will the 01+ Tacoma UG mount work on a 2003 4Runner?

And since this thread popped up (didn't know it existed), figured I'd toss up my contribution -

Very close, which is why I'm asking. I'll probably get it anyhow, if it doesn't work for my 4Runner, it'll work in my daughter's 2013 Tacoma.

The '01-15 Tacoma mount will "fit" in a 4th Gen 4Runner, meaning that you'll be able to attach it to the A-pillar screw. My recollection is that the angle of the mount is not quite right in the 4th Gen 4Runner, and you won't be able to get it to point it at your face correctly. But if you have the fallback option of putting it into your daughter's '13 Tacoma, give it a shot and report back .

We were told that these also work very well in 1st and 2nd Gen Tundras :).

Well, it's also just metal, right? I can always try tweaking it as well to get it facing the right direction.

Need to order 2 of these then and some hood struts for my daughter's Tacoma. I'll be doing that sometime this weekend most likely.

    Thanks!

Quoting old posts but my abs light also flashes when I plug in the obd2 reader for the torque app. If I unplug it I have to turn the truck off and then back on for it to stop flashing.

I have a reader for my iPhone as well. No flashing there but the app isn’t as good as torque.

@xtremewlr , just curious did you ever try putting this in a 4th gen 4Runner? (And if so would you happen to have a picture?) I’ve got both a Tacoma and 2006 4runner and would love to use this for a scanguage if it just takes a little bending in that crease. Thx!

I did not. I ended up using a magnetic mount, Mob Armor. I use the same thing for my phone mount. They are great.

We had a customer install the Tacoma mount into a 4th Gen 4Runner, he said it worked great and sent these photos:
