Just saying "HI!" to you ladies and gents out there.
I have a 2006 2.7L Prerunner 2wd that is my daily right now. I've been having the truck for years. It's a little rough around the edges, but I use it as a truck. I was researching the 4wd conversion for my taco and this site kept coming up, so I joined. I've been kicking around the idea of finding a whole truck to strip for the parts I need, but making the conversion all manual is sounding like it would be more reliable.
I'm not opposed to buying a 4wd taco, but I love this truck. That's not to say that I won't eventually get a second taco at a later date.
    I little bit about me.
I'm located in south Louisiana. I love to crab, so I'm wanting 4wd for utility reasons. I have been doing auto tech work professionally since 1993 and I even carried a master status for years. I also do some light machine work as a hobby, mainly working with aluminum.
I'm open to any advise, links, how-to's, warnings on the 4wd conversion as I learn my way around this forum. ;)
    Thanks
