Northstar AGM battery retailers?

Only supplier I've found of the Northstar group 27f AGM battery I'm looking for is saskbattery:

It's quite a heavy item so there's probably a lot of shipping embedded in the current price of $429.30.

Just wondering if anyone knows of a Northstar or XSPower retailer in Ottawa/Toronto/Montreal?

 

Prairie battery here in Winnipeg has Northstar. Same Co. I do believe. That’s a little closer but still no screamin hell. Think I got mine for about $100 less as well.

 

They had a group buy on Northstar batteries on here, but once you do exchange they were only 12 cdn dollars cheaper than the price your shop is asking for the 27F.

These Cambodian Tire batteries seem very similar to the comparable Northstar batteries, but in the end, they're the same price as the Saskbattery Northstars even with all the embedded shipping cost.

 

I asked sask battery about prices and they said they could take $13 off the 27f Northstar.
My local dealer matched their price and threw it in for free for me.

 

I live in Regina and could swing by to see what the pick-up price is. Let me know if you want me to stop by.

 

You're saying that CT price matched for you? Was the geometry of the Nautilus battery okay for your truck? I think there's a difference between "27" and "27F" that has something to do with the position of the terminals.

 

In Kamloops we have Polaris Battery and they stock North Star. They price matched Sask batteries including the $13 discount and installed for for free.
I bought the 27F. You might need longer hold downs possibly with the bigger battery.
I bought my hold downs and new clamp from Off the Grid Engineering.

 

BC sounds fantastic. No winters, endless marijuana fields, lots of back country to explore, can get parts for the truck easily. The life.

 

Thanks but I found a store in Ottawa called Total Battery that seems to sell Northstar. I'll give them a call on Monday.

Total Battery in Ottawa was not competitive on price, they wanted $489 plus tax FOB their store. They would not price match Saskbattery's shipped price of $430+tax.

 

we sell NorthStar in BC here, but Saskbattery is a great place to go if you need them shipped, we don't tend to stock batteries really.

 

Total Battery in Ottawa, east end store might have one 27F left, I got the other one. My price finished up about $20 less than Saskbattery because of who I work for. Talk to Austin, he is great. They will ship it if you want.
If you want one, now is the time because Northstar is not making them anymore, and Odyssey is not either.

 

Hope they don’t change up the case too much. I like the way mine fits.

 

Looking at upgrading my battery to an AGM one and was wondering if you guys use a Alternator Voltage Booster. Stock alternator apparently do not output enough power to sufficiently charges one of these bad boys.

 

Did you end up doing this? All the reading I’ve done on it sounds like a no brainer to do.
