A few years ago I saw an ad in the paper where they were looking for extras to shoot commercials. I filled out a form but never got called. Last year, I got an email from them that they were looking for extras again so I filled out the form again...and for some reason I got called. We spent a day filming various versions of different commercials - some where my face would be visible, others where I'm just seen in passing. Not sure which or if any others will get used over time.

And, yes, I have slept in a Holiday Inn Express. :)

If you happened to stay at the one outside of Allentown on Schoenersville Road I hope to God you didn't get room 117. I destroyed that one :spy: Although they probably just replaced the bed

Many years ago, we used to stay at a cabin in Promised Land. Electric but no water. There was an outhouse. We dragged a wagon down the park road to a state park or campground to fill jerrycans with water. Four or five fit in the wagon. I think it was the park. I recall a lake with some imported sand for a beach or something.
We were always there when the red eft's were out. Orange everywhere. I also recall a large bear population.
We paid to stay by cutting and splitting wood for the owner of the cabin.
Bruce Lake is nearby and that was worth the hike.
Man, that "takes me back"! :)

Been camping at Promised Land for over 50 years. Lots of changes. Not all good. It's a great area and Yes, lots of bears. There is a picture of my family in a book about the park.

Rearranged the “lego room” to now be a “craft room” for my wife.
Pretty pleased with the progress. :)

    Good morning fellow Pennsyltuckyvanians!!

Had dinner last evening in Allentown with old friends, then drove home into a huge thunderstorm. The weather pattern this summer truly sucks.

Stay safe out there today. Weekend is coming.

Morning PA. Took a long drive after work yesterday up to Rockland County, New York, to pick up some gently used mobtown sliders. Gonna get them on quick for this weekend then take them off to repaint. Has some surface rust in spots. Took 95 most of the way up until I got past Newark. After dealing with some heavy traffic throughout I decided I would not want to be anywhere near the metropolitan area for my ride home. Took 287 and 78 over to Allentown and good ole RTE 100 all the way home. Took about 6 hours there and back. I was tired by the end of it!

It's actually been pretty cold when I go in to work. Had to put on a flannel the other day to drive with my windows down. Funny that the mid sixties coming off of winter is beautiful but after 80-90 degree days it makes me shiver.
