As the title says, which Fumoto for 3rd Gen Taco? I see members using either of these and see one has a longer nipple than the other. Which one works best with TRD skid plate? Does longer nipple peak below TRD skid plate?

Are you talking about the Pro skid plate or the stock Sport/OR skid? If the latter, then the valve is further back than the skid. I prefer the long nipple as it allows me to put a length of hose on it to make the job a little neater.

I have the F133N long nipple with a TRD Skid Plate. The nipple doesn't peak pass the hole...:)

Just curious, is there an advantage over the Fumoto? From the looks of it, it is almost double in price.

I have the F103N on mine with the TRD skid plate - no issues with clearance and I was able to put it on with the skid plate already in place.
The one in your post is a F133N but the other is F103S...
Just and FYI so you don't order the wrong one. I think the F103 is what you want, N is long and S is short.

Edit: I looked it up and both the F133 and F103 have 12X1.25MM threads so i guess either is ok, but I know an F103N works.

I've seen several people get screwed over by the Fumoto valves. Everything from being knocked off to being jarred open by a stick or other object causing the engine to run out of oil without the driver realizing it until it was too late. That's not an issue with the Stahlbus and it maintains the quick drain ability for those who don't want to bother with a standard drain plug.

I bought the long nipple version and it easily fits under my aluminum TRD skid plate. I hook-up a hose to it and drain my oil directly into a container. No mess.
The one I bought came with a plastic safety clip that snaps on over the little lever on the valve when it’s closed. If I didn’t have a skid and the plastic clip I ‘might’ be worried about it accidentally getting knocked off or opened.......but the chances are so slim that I don’t miss any sleep over it....

I have a question concerning these oil change systems..maybe someone can answer? When the Fumoto for example is screwed into the oil pan, I assume that it is not flush with the bottom of the internal oil pan. If so, doesn’t that mean you’re not getting a full drain-out? Over time, wouldn’t this built up sludge in the pan? Thanks

Depends, does this sludge stay at the bottom of the pan when the engine is running? If not, just run the engine for and minute then drain the oil.

Well if it stirs everything up, then most of it most likely to leave through the drain plug. If not, then does it matter?

Idk the answer, but idk if sludge at the bottom of the oil pan is a real issue. I've been wrong before though.
