Can someone tell me what came on the towing package for 1st gens?

Looking to add everything from the towing package to up the capacity of this thing. Probably upgraded cooling fan/transmission cooler if I had to take a guess.

 

This question has been asked before and no one has been able to give a definitive answer. Looks like they came with a class 3 hitch and a wiring tow harness. Some think additional equipment was added by the dealer.
How much weight do you want to tow and what is the stated tow capacity of your truck?

Best I’ve got is Hitch, Wiring, and Cooling fan.

However, there is an elusive, rare TOYOTA brake controller that I've seen some photos of that was mounted behind the driver side rear seat of some double cabs…

 

FYI- if you install your own 4-pin harness kit and have upgraded any halogens to LED lights on your truck, let me know if you have the same issue that I had with my 1st gen that had a CURT 4-pin wiring kit.
