Have you ever measured a wood 2"x4"?

That’s apples to oranges and in no way the same thing. lol.
By the way, you can get 2x4 that measures 2”x4”, its just not usually sold at Lowes or HD.

    This basic information guys?

First # is tire width not tread width, sidewall to sidewall. (In mm, so divide by 25.4 to get standard equivalent)

2nd # is aspect ratio. For example 265/75/R17 : 75% of 265 is the sidewall height (from ID tire to OD tire). Higher # = more sidewall.

3rd is obviously your wheel diameter. (In inches)

    Exactly!
Why research on your own when you can simply ask questions on a forum and get answers ranging from conspiracy theories to actual facts?

Overall get a 2” lift because it will ride the best and still gives you good height. Make sure to get a kit that includes shocks in it. I think that the bilstien kits are the best bang for your buck and will ride really well on the road.
Get falcon wildpeak tires in the same tire size you have now, this will keep you from having any issues with rubbing. Although I do not recommend any all terrain tire in heavy rain, they all act like ice skates because they are meant for dirt not pavement.
I’m not sure how handy you are but make sure you have the proper tools and toque the bolts down to spec because I’ve seen some bad things happen.

Let us know how much you can spend
How much are you willing to spend, what's affordable to you isn't to others. A 3inch lift cheap would just be spacers or body lift. The cheapest coilovers you'll get are Fox IFP 2.0's and Bilstein 6112 but only getting a 2" lift.
