    Most states that have emission programs, including TX after talking with @mZiggy , just plug into the OBD port and verify that there are no stored or failed DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) and that the Readiness Codes are Complete. Typically, you are allowed to have one Incomplete Readiness Code.

    All of that can be easily verified with most any cheap OBD tool, such as the $15 Veepeak on Amazon along with a phone app interface like Torque, Carista, or OBD Fusion:

    I think MA still sniffs the tailpipe. We all know that CA does more intense inspections and verifications.

    Here in WA, our system has been wound down.


    In the end, most any intake mod from a known company should not affect the DTCs or Readiness Codes.
