I was just about to go with a 5100/OME set-up, but got several PM's about looking into the Eibach Stage 1 Kit. Since I won't be doing any off road driving, the common theme is that it's a better suspension system for street driving.

I checked out the spec's, and it looks like the front lift starts at a minimum of 2.5". I know 2" seems to be the magic number before suspension issues arise, but I'm also reading of folks who get 2" and 2.25". I would assume with a 2.7L, I'd end up with 2.5" in the front. The 3.5L seems to be around .5" lower due to the weight, which may be where the 2" is coming from.

First question; can anyone confirm the minimum front lift height on a 2.7L?

The other question is related to the kit itself. There's a Youtube install video, and the only thing installed on the rear is the new shocks. Based on my measurements, I have a 1" rake. In the Youtube video, the trucks looks perfectly level with nothing in the rear (no block, AAL, etc.), so how can that be with a 2.5" lift in the front and nothing in the rear?

Can anyone with a 2.7L truck let me know which clip setting you used on the front, and if you did anything in the rear, how much did you lift it? On the face of it, the Eibach kit up front and a 1" block in the rear sounds right, but I don't want to be taking this apart again, so any specifics would be most appreciated.

They are good on the street if you do “truck stuff” like towing and carrying things & want a bit of lift. My honest advice would be to leave it alone though.
