I've got a 2010 DC PreRunner and I'm experiencing the rear end bump sensation described in TSB-0016-13. I picked up a new OE drive shaft (37100-04352) that is called out in the TSB. The OE repair procedures say "Place matchmarks on the propeller shaft flange and differential flange" prior to removal and to "Align the matchmarks on the propeller shaft flange and differential flange" upon installation. Since the is a new DS, I'm not sure what they are referring to? I assume this only applies if your removing/re-installing the existing DS?

Thanks for the reply. I thought so, but wanted to make sure I didn't misalign something during the swap.

Here is the correct cure for that TSB which I experienced, its low on ATF!!! Remove At Pan Drain Bolt/Plug, drain atf fluid from pan, when stops draining, replace and reinstall Drain Pan Bolt Plug. Remove fill Bolt Plug on passenger side to back and refill with a Pump and 3 Qts & 4 Ozs WS Atf Tranny fluid. Replace Bolt/plug and only hand tighten both bolts plugs Drain and fill by hand. Test drive and notice the difference. My TSB disappeared and is all fine now ! Underfilled from factory or when serviced if ATF was done as was my situation , had a complete ATF flush and they underfilled it by 2 Qts at a Toyota dealership. I did this Old School treatment and It worked and all is fine now! I Run AMSOIL WS ATF and Lubegard Platinum and Dr Tranny Shutter Gard a year later with a drain and refill of max combined of ATF Amsoil ,Lubegard Platinum and DrTranny Anti Shudder gard , runs and shifts better than new at 55,000 miles in my 2013 V6 AT 5 speed. Factory and techs make mistakes too ! No one is perfect !

My 2008 Tacoma PreRunner needs this install.
Is there anything special I should know about adjusting the center support bearing?

When the old OEM propeller shaft(driveshaft) comes out from the transmission, how much transmission fluid is lost?
There is a tool that is recommended for plugging the transmission to prevent any loss.

    Thanks!
