I'm in contact with Rockriders.com regarding a groupbuy for the following RTT. I'm not affiliated with them at all. I only know about this because I reached out to them to buy a RTT and it was mentioned that they have discounts for groupbuys.

Below is the RTT that they sell.

    https://overlandvehiclesystems.com/18019933-ovs-tmbk-3-person-roof-top-tent-with-green-rain-fly/

This appears to be a unbranded Smittybilt and you can find videos of it on Youtube.

If we can get 3 people to commit, the price is $850. It will have to be picked up locally in the Bay Area either in Hayward or Pleasanton. Any interest?

Yeah he is the same guy. With 3 people, he is willing to drop it down to $850 out the door.

I bought my smitty tent from this guy last summer for a good price when almost everybody was either marking them way up or doing presales. He didn’t have a storefront, but I met him in Pleasanton and moved the box from his raptor to my Tacoma.

You can youtube OVS RTT or Smitty Bilt RTT. It's the same thing. First hand accounts here wouldn't be bad either.

I had the smittybilt tent in the past and no major issues.

only 2 things come to mind. The Velcro started to come undone after a while for the black cover. Then the straps to keep the tent cover on frayed off after a while.

I was able to keep my sleeping bags and 2 pillows in the tent at all times so no need to keep pulling them in and out.

This happened to my old Tepui RTT. I switched the straps to have a ratchet at the end and it worked great.

I may be interested as well in this group buy. I wanna look into this tent first though. Probably around 130lbs like most?

All the reviews I've seen says 110lbs to 115lbs. If you're interested let me know. Since it's only $35 difference I might just pull the trigger if not enough people are interested.

Don’t know if you guys heard that there is a recall on some of Tepui
RTT’s. This was hanging up in a REI.
