I had a remote starter installed when I bought the truck, no sure what brand or model, it's been awhile. Recently switched to an AGM group 31, running a voltage booster diode and a 100w solar panel to keep the battery in a charged state while running my fridge.

I've noticed occasionally when I hit the remote start, the starter will still keep cranking, and what I imagine happens is it think the truck isn't started and then aborts mission and everything shuts off.

Here's my hypothesis. On a regular system, when the starter kicks on it detects the voltage jump, and then when the truck starts the voltage drops back down to somewhere around 13.7v and that signals the sender to stop cranking the starter. Since my battery is almost always above 14v it doesn't get the command to stop.

    Thoughts?

What you are saying is possible, but IMO the issue is likely with the remote starter module. I would ID the remote starter and get more info on that before I would blame the battery. you have also modified more than one thing: you added a new AGM battery, (not a likely cause of the problem IMO), you added a voltage boosting diode, which could be a cause if installed or configured incorrectly, the solar panel, and a remote start that worked fine prior to those 3 changes.

disconnect the solar panel and wiring first. Only reconnect after you verify everything else is good and you double check all associated wiring for shorts and ensure it is being properly connected.

Verify that your diode is installed correctly, and if you are running a cheap one from china I would recommend getting the one that Crashnburn90 recommends in his group 31 upgrade writeup.

I would start the truck like normal, (not with the remote), and check charging voltage with a meter. to ensure proper function of the diode. If you are unfamiliar with electrical principles, do not touch anything and bring it to a shop.

if you aren't getting the voltage you expect, then ditch the diode and revert to factory.

you should also look into the remote start module to see if it may need to be rebooted or something after the battery install.

I have the diode from that thread, from Australia, I'm also running the Bluetooth voltage meter to keep track of that. I'll do some experimenting and see if I can narrow it down. I bet you're into something with the module needing a reset.

It's hard to replicate as it only happens sometimes, and as voltage can fluctuate a fair bit, that's why I'm initially blaming it
