Hey guys, so my truck isn’t new. It’s a 2018 with 64k. However, my breaks would squeak at very low speeds since like 5-10k miles. I never took it in for that issue because a) dealership was a pain in the ass and b) it was not consistent enough to where I knew they could replicate it 100%.

The noise would come and go but now at 64k it’s unbearable. Squeaks at high and low speeds and driving me crazy. I opened up my drums and pads have plenty of life, after cleaning them it got louder.
I even changed the front breaks just in case.

I wish I took it in and insisted on the dealership to find it and fix it. If anyone has a solution, please help. I’m at the point where I’m ready to just swap out my whole brake assembly and even do a disc brake conversion if it wasn’t so expensive.

    Thanks guys

@ 64K with unbearable squeaking, I'd do a brake job whether it needs it or not.
$100 bucks, give or take if you have the tools, and certainly not prohibitively expensive if you don't.

Pads on the discs, shoes in the drums, btw.
Good luck, nothing worse than squeaks and rattles..

I'd have a dealer or trusted mechanic take a look just to determine what the issue is, then you could DIY if wanted. Going gung hoe and swapping out the whole brake assembly and doing a disc brake conversion isn't the smartest idea if you don't know the root cause in the first place.
